AN OPEN LETTER TO ALL BAHA'I FRIENDS

SERVICE TO UHJ – CONTRIBUTION OF LADIES

Dear Friends,

This is a letter from a troubled father to all Friends in the Community. Hopefully this letter will bring to light certain concerns about the Conduct of our beloved UHJ. Of course facts would be presented before drawing conclusions.

Friends, we hear time and again appeals from the UHJ for volunteers at the Holy Land. With deep sincerity the message is circulated by the respected LSAs. With equal sincerity some of our youth, purely for serving the Faith, volunteer. The Local Community is overjoyed when certain youth are selected for serving at Holy Land. Indeed, it is a representation of the local community – an honour. However the tragedy starts when after serving at Holy Land for about a decade, the now “middle aged” volunteer returns. In private discussions, these volunteers tell their woes. Some of the common points that emerge are :

1.    The Selection Process: The volunteers selected are youths in early twenties and mostly females. This reality never strikes us, but when we ponder on certain long term serving volunteers we indeed come to know of this gender preference (eg in India we have examples of Shraddha Singh, Elisa Rassiwalla, Yasmin Rassiwallah, Shraddha Teli, Pooja Puthran and some others).

2.    Service of Volunteers : The Volunteers are assigned as secretaries / under-studies to certain chiefs of departments. Interestingly all the girl volunteers work under middle-aged male bosses.

3.    Grooming – What goes into it?: The enthusiastic and simple girls, while being induced and groomed for the work, are subtly conveyed the ‘other expectations’. There ‘other expectations’ include spending long hours with bosses in privacy, not resisting advances by bosses (as the poor man is over loaded with various assignments of the UHJ, and thereby needs some ‘relaxation’ as there is no outlet for ‘relaxation’ of the bosses, except the volunteers) and always having a cheerful presence.

4.    Feelings of the volunteers: These volunteers who are thousands of miles away from their parents, in a foreign country and almost in captivity in the huge premise, feel terribly lonely. Having no one to confide, except those who re-affirm the ‘expectations’ and need for serving the Faith with ‘Body’ and ‘Soul’, most volunteers feel that best way out is to continue the service without complaints. Atleast, with the stipend, they are not a burden on their parents. The volunteer is shunted across various departments every couple of years.

5.    The worst stage: Probably the worst stage in the career of the volunteer, is when she approaches her 40’s. Now the youth, the charm, the vigour starts fading. With age, and with this exposure in the name of service, the so–far unmarried volunteer, develops medical complications. She is now a liability to the Holy Land and UHJ and is very gently shown the door. The volunteer, trudges her way back to India, only to experience a sense of guilt and a life and a career lost. She develops depression, especially when she finds that how cunningly the Persian and Zoroastrian background Baha’is, did not send their children of same age for service but had motivated the simple Indian Baha’i parents for the same. The children of these Persian and Zoroastrian Bahai parents develop into settled professionals and have an established family, while the poor volunteer has returned with absolute loss.

Friends, as a father who cannot see the plight of his daughter, I appeal to all to be cautious in sending their daughters, as volunteers to the Holy Land. It is indeed saddening, how this exploitation is happening at the most Holy place for the Bahais.  The UHJ is indeed a den of vice.

Friends, we have made a supreme sacrifice by leaving our religion and accepting the Bahai Faith. Little did we know about the skeletons in the cupboard. The situation now is that we are forced to see the tragic plight of our unmarried daughters in our old age without anyone to fall back. Our relatives and friends of our previous religion have forsaken us and the Bahais have exploited us. Indeed this is a cumulative loss.

Friends lets unite and expose the mis-deeds so that we can save the next generation. Lets bring this awareness globally, as our daughters have narrated that volunteers come to the Holy Land for service from all over the world – in particular from developing and under-developed countries, and undergo same experience. Lets campaign globally about reducing the male dominance at the Holy Land and UHJ, especially in responsible positions. Lets campaign that volunteers selected should be predominantly males. Lets clean the Faith of shameful mal-practices.

Dear Sir,
Please post on your blog. Help us to help the humanity.

How skilled people get Elected to the Universal House of Justice?

"The Skilled Ones"

By an Ex-Counselor who wish to remain Anonymous.

We Baha’is denounce politics whatsoever. We are not supposed to be part of any government ministry nor any political party. Yet, those in authority at the highest level at UHJ are adept at politics.

There are many unwritten rules and code words being passed around to manipulate the administration functioning. Things are so professionally managed that a common Baha’i continue to repose his trust in the supreme body.

As an insider who had served for a few years at Haifa, I have seen many such stage managed events. The most prominent being the elections to UHJ.

Criteria for rising in cadre at Haifa:

Briefly, following are the criteria:
A.    You should be a Persian Baha’i, or
B.    Your wife is Persian,
        and
C.    You have good means to support UHJ monetarily.
        and
D.    You should be able to write good reports of achievement when in fact no work has been done. (Those not having this quality take guidance from a Persian for success)
        and
E.     You should move closer to the Ruhi Brigade (Arbab-Javaheri-Mohajer). Talk everywhere about the merits of Ruhi Books. Say whenever you read Ruhi, it always gives you some new points.

Steps to Carve a Success Story, the Flow Chart:
ITC is the springboard for moving into the UHJ orbit. But before that as a first step do a few teaching of Ruhi courses on paper and become friendly with the ABM. Get appointed as assistant to ABM and then do some more teaching. Most likely the ABM will nominate you when he is promoted to counselor.

After being a showy ABM who makes sure to attend everything even opening of the envelopes, the Counselor position is assured.

Now memorize a few prayers and if you can really do it in Persian then you are nearer to the aim.

Now, ITC should be the next target.
Try to get yourself noticed by UHJ. Emulate the predecessors. Develop the habit of writing smart impressive reports and there you are at ITC.

Alternative route (Mr. Paul Lample gate):
If all the above steps fail then do not be disheartened, Baha’i Faith has hope for every manipulator. Try the Ms. Haleh Arbab alternative.

Get closure to her, tell her some merits of Ruhi circles, praise her dear brother Mr. Arbab, her beloved husband Mr. Correa and about her achievements of OSED, FUNDAEC etc. Being absolutely aware that OSED is just an International Touring organization.

Mr. Gustavo Correa’s Baha’i knowledge about central figures is so encompassing that he can go on lecturing for hours on the topic of relationship between Abdul Baha and Abbas Effendi!
Paul Lample can vouch for 100% success for this alternative! He got selected to the UHJ this way with the approval of Persian group comprising Mr. Farzam Arbab, Mr. Firaydoun Javaheri and Mr. Payman Mohajer.

At present this gate is overcrowded by presence of Mr. Ayman Rouhani, Mr. Foad Reyhani, Mr. Omid Seioshansian, and Mr. Jabbar Eidelkhani etc. Only one thing is common amongst all and that is all are PERSIAN, very good in writing reports Etc.

The late Mr. Hasan Sabri could also conform this if contactable in the Abha kingdom!

You are now at the threshold:
Your flight has almost reached the destination in a short period of 12 years from when you started. Keep your hopes alive with your target in mind. Just as the sly politician has the post of President of the Nation in his mind.

Long live Baha’i politics… Long live Persian dominance….

Ayman Rouhani’s Election / Selection to UHJ was predicted and Political.

4250 Hits on 30th April 2013
The Elections / Selection of Ayman Rouhani was predicted long back on Baha’i culture blog and also by Baha’is who are witnessing the politics played by UHJ. After the Election / Selection of Mr. Ayman Rouhani the Baha’i culture blog was hit by more than 4000 hits in one day. It was almost certain that after resignation / removal of Mr. Farzam Arbab, one Persian will be needed to fill his vacant post.

Mr. Ayman Rouhani was almost dragged to ITC given a prominent position. He was allowed to tour India, Malaysia, Cameroon, CIS and other countries to justify his future election on UHJ.

At present there are four Persians on UHJ. This is to attract the general Iranian population towards Baha’i Faith. THE FACT IS THAT EVERY OTHER COUNTRY MEN MAY GET ATTRACTED TOWARDS THIS FAITH EXCEPT IRAN.

Moreover Iranians moving closer to Baha’i Faith are having dual allegiance one towards UHJ and a stronger one towards Ahmadinejad!!!

There were three other Persian counselors along with Mr. Ayman Rouhani who were trying their luck to be elevated to UHJ. Mr. Foad Reyhani, Mr. Omid Seioshansian, and Mr. Jabbar Eidelkhani. But it was certain that Mr. Ayman Rouhani will win the race because of two reasons.

1. He was already on International Teaching Centre

2. His wife is Non Persian (Ms. Aliona a Georgian) which made UHJ think that Mr. Ayman’s Faith is more towards UHJ then Ahmadinejad.

So now another criterion is emerging for election / selection of ITC / UHJ that if you are a Persian Baha’i then selects a non Persian wife like Payman Mohajer and Ayman Rouhani. This will lead for UHJ think Tank to conclude that your allegiance is more towards UHJ and not towards Ahmadinejad. Otherwise you will be made a travel Teacher. See Mr. Burhanuddin Afshin and very soon Dr. Jabber Edilkhani will join him.

There was another ITC counselor from India Mr. Praveen Mallick who was also trying his luck to be on UHJ. But Mr. Mallick should note that the Persian Baha’is know that, Baha’i Faith is just a Bread and Butter and you have no relation whatsoever with Faith and Teachings of Baha’u’llah.
